Job summary

Avera St Mary’s Hospital in Pierre, SD is seeking a Boiler Operator to operate, install, service, and maintain mechanical and electrical systems, including reverse osmosis water systems. The role includes on-call responsibilities and a weekend rotation.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of experience with boiler operation, mechanical systems, and related equipment; a high school diploma or GED and boiler/operator licensing are preferred.

• Experience with mechanical, boiler, electrical, and computer systems preferred.
• DL and boiler/operator licenses required.

Responsibilities

• Operates, installs, services, maintains and repairs mechanical and electrical systems.
• Installs, services, maintains and repairs reverse osmosis water systems and related equipment.
• Performs preventive maintenance on equipment and documents conditions.
• Assists with other plant operations duties as requested.

Work where you matter.A Brief OverviewOperates, installs, services, and maintains mechanical and electrical systems, equipment and fixtures and other devices.What you will doInstalls, services, maintains and repairs the Reverse Osmosis Water Systems.Installs, services, maintains and repairs mechanical equipment, systems and utilities, heating systems, cooling systems, emergency electrical generator systems, domestic hot water systems, computerized HVAC control systems, pneumatic tubes, beds, pumps, operating tables, showers, etc.Constructs, installs and repairs equipment and furnishings as requested.Performs preventive maintenance procedures on assigned mechanical and electrical equipment and systems.Documents essential information and unusual conditions regarding the various equipment and systems.Assists with other plant operations duties as requested.Essential QualificationsThe individual must be able to work the hours specified.
