Compensation:

This position is hourly, with an anticipated base pay range of $28.22 to $35.29.

Position Overview:

Join our team in Kansas City, MO at 11200 E. 210 Highway! We are seeking an experienced Facilities Technician for 1st shift - 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive maintenance and routine repairs on automated material handling systems to support the Distribution Center's goals.
• Respond to system issues involving conveyors, PIE, sortation, and controls (EMS, WCS, Sort Director, EWM, Hardware, Software).
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control system components, including PLCs, DC drivers, VFDs, encoders, scanners, and communication systems.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for conveyors, cross belt systems, and Dematic Multi Shuttle System/Goods to Person System.
• Operate all material handling and mobile equipment within the Distribution Center.
• Work at heights and in unusual positions.
• Be available for 24-hour on-call rotation.
• Apply safe work practices, including lockout/tagout and Arc Flash standards.
• Follow electrical, building, and safety codes (NEC, BOCA, UBC, MSDS, OSHA).
• Design, implement, and document PLC programming changes when authorized.
• Troubleshoot and modify I/O device networks such as Probus, Data Highway, and CanBus.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of building and equipment maintenance experience, with 2 years on Dematic or similar conveyor systems.
• 2+ years with AC drives (setup, programming, faults).
• Familiarity with Microsoft and CMMS software.
• Experience with power distribution, control circuits, electrical testing, hand and power tools, calipers, and gauges.
• Ability to read and interpret MEO drawings and schematics.
• Ability to lift, push, and slide packages weighing 50-75 lbs.
• Successful completion of maintenance skill evaluation.
