Job summary

Helen of Troy is seeking a Maintenance Technician III to join the Facilities team in Arlington, TN. This on-site role runs Monday–Friday, 06:00 AM–02:30 PM with overtime as needed. You will maintain and repair plant equipment, troubleshoot conveyor systems, and ensure safety and quality in every task.

Experience in maintenance and strong teamwork are essential. The position involves leading small teams, coordinating work, and reporting to the supervisor.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • 2+ years related experience in specialized or technical training.
  • 5+ years' experience in Maintenance environment.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure safe maintenance, repairs, and replacement of plant equipment and systems.
  • Maintain and repair all equipment, buildings, and facilities.
  • Troubleshoot machinery and conveyor systems.
  • Coordinate priority work projects and repairs.
  • Prepare reports and monitor maintenance schedules and time records.

Job description

Position: Maintenance Technician III Department: Facilities Work Location: Arlington, TN, 100% Onsite Hours: Monday – Friday, 06:00 AM to 02:30 PM (ability to work overtime as needed)

What you will be doing
  • You will ensure safe maintenance, repairs, and replacement of plant equipment and systems.
  • You will be responsible for maximum productivity and quality in accordance with safety, health, and fire regulations.
  • Maintains and repairs all equipment, buildings, and facilities.
  • Troubleshoots all machinery and conveyor systems.
  • Uses Pick2Light systems, which analyzes computer system errors enabling maintenance to make repairs, reset faults, etc., as needed.
  • Establishes and coordinates priority work projects and repairs.
  • Provides directions, assigns tasks and minor work of other personnel, and reports to the supervisor.
  • Prepares reports, monitors maintenance schedules, and monitors employee time records.
  • Reviews Preventative Maintenance (PM) work orders and logs them into Benchmark.
  • Maintains parts inventory.
  • Prepares schedules, oversees work activities, performance appraisals, counsel employees, etc.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma.
  • 2+ years related experience in specialized or technical training.
  • 5+ years' experience in Maintenance environment.
  • Ability to work well with others adhering to company values.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work in industrial environments for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and 75 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and from elevated work platforms when required.
  • Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including indoor and outdoor settings.
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, and emergency call-ins as necessary.
  • Ability to stock and organize products safely and accordingly, as some items are fragile.
  • Ability to review and process shipping documents.
  • Supports process and logistics improvement initiatives.
  • Follows established safety guidelines and OSHA regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) systems.
