Job summary

Entegris, Inc. seeks a Maintenance Technician II for the weekend night shift (8PM-6:30AM) in Bedford, Massachusetts. You will perform daily maintenance on production equipment, plan and respond to unplanned repairs, and report to the Equipment Maintenance Supervisor.

You’ll troubleshoot across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and vacuum systems, work from drawings and manuals, and maintain/update PM manuals. Flexible hours and strong safety practices are emphasized.

Qualifications

• AAS degree or higher in electronics/electromechanics or equivalent.
• Experience maintaining manufacturing equipment in a production environment.
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, electromechanical and PLCs.
• High vacuum experience including mechanical/cryogenic pumps, diffusion and turbo pumps.
• RF systems knowledge including tuning and matching networks.
• Adaptable to fast-paced manufacturing settings.
• Knowledge of computer controls and systems; familiar with support equipment.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety best practices and wear PPE on the production floor.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas complying with 6S standards.
• Adhere to Life Saving Rules, including LOTO and arc-flash PPE.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment using drawings, diagrams and manuals.
• Work in cleanroom environments when required.
• Disassemble, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and vacuum systems.
• Keep preventive maintenance manuals and spare parts up to date.
• Safely handle chemicals and gases used in processes.
• Maintain records to support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Be available to work irregular hours or return to site for urgent issues.
• Collaborate with process and equipment engineers to resolve chronic issues.
• Ensure department safety procedures and company standards are followed.
• Communicate progress to team and supervisor at shift end.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Job Description

Entegris is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the weekend night shift, 8PM-6:30am, located in Bedford, Massachusetts. This position will report directly to the Equipment Maintenance Supervisor. Candidate will be responsible for daily production equipment maintenance both planned and unplanned activities based on priorities.

What You’ll Do

• Follow all safety best practices and always wear required PPE while on the production floor.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with Entegris 6S standards.
• Fully comply with all Life Saving Rules, including proper use of LOTO and appropriate arc-flash PPE.
• Work from drawings, diagrams, schematics, technical manuals, and written or verbal instructions to perform troubleshooting and repairs.
• Perform work within a cleanroom environment as required.
• Disassemble, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and vacuum systems.
• Maintain up-to-date manuals for preventive maintenance and replacement parts.
• Safely handle and work around process chemicals and gases.
• Maintain accurate files, records, and documentation to support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Be available to work irregular hours or return to the site in the event of unexpected equipment breakdowns or urgent projects.
• Promote and uphold safe and healthy working conditions across the department.
• Collaborate closely with process and equipment engineers to resolve chronic equipment issues and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure full compliance with departmental safety procedures and company standards.
• Keep the work area clean, safe, and compliant at all times.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Communicate progress and status updates to your team and supervisor at the end of each shift.

Outstanding Candidates Will Have

• AAS Degree in Electronics/Electromechanics, Certificate / Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical / Control and Automation Engineering
• Experiencein equipment maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, electromechanical, and PLCs.
• High vacuum experience, including mechanical vacuum pumps, cryo pumps, diffusion pumps, and turbo pumps
• Experience with RF electricity including tuning and matching networks
• Able to adapt to the changing needs of a high-paced manufacturing environment
• Knowledgeable with computer controls and systems including support equipment.
• Proficient in the use of most types of hand tools and meters
• Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively
• Able to diagnose and make correction for equipment faults and programming error effectively.
• Good organizational and follow-up skills, as well as sharp attention to detail
• Knowledge of SAP a plus
