Entegris, Inc. in Bedford, MA is seeking a Maintenance Technician II for the 3rd shift (Mon-Fri, 10:00 PM–6:30 AM).

You will perform planned and unplanned maintenance on production equipment, support cleanroom operations, and collaborate with process and equipment engineers to resolve chronic issues. The role requires experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, electromechanical systems, and PLCs, along with a strong focus on safety and documentation.

Qualifications

• AAS Degree in Electronics/Electromechanics or related certificate with maintenance experience.
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, electromechanical systems, and PLCs.
• High vacuum experience with vacuum pumps, cryo pumps, diffusion pumps, and turbo pumps is preferred.
• RF electricity knowledge including tuning and matching networks.
• Able to adapt to a high-paced manufacturing environment.
• Proficient with computer controls and support equipment.
• Proficient with hand tools and meters.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Diagnose and correct equipment faults and programming errors.
• Strong organizational and follow-up skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety best practices and wear required PPE on the production floor.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment per Entegris 6S standards.
• Fully comply with Life Saving Rules, including LOTO and arc‑flash PPE.
• Troubleshoot and repair from drawings, diagrams, schematics, manuals, or instructions.
• Perform work in a cleanroom environment when required.
• Disassemble, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and vacuum systems.
• Keep up-to-date manuals for preventive maintenance and replacement parts.
• Safely handle and work around process chemicals and gases.
• Maintain accurate files and documentation to support continuous improvement.
• Be available to work irregular hours or respond to emergencies.
• Collaborate with engineers to resolve chronic issues and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and company standards.
• Keep work area clean, safe, and compliant.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Communicate progress to team and supervisor at shift end.

Job Title: Maintenance Technician II 3rd shift

Job Description: The Role: Entegris is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the 3rd Shift Monday - Friday, 10PM - 6:30AM, located in Bedford, Massachusetts.

This position will report directly to the Equipment Maintenance Supervisor. Candidate will be responsible for daily production equipment maintenance both planned and unplanned activities based on priorities.

What You’ll Do:

• Follow all safety best practices and always wear required PPE while on the production floor.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with Entegris 6S standards.
• Fully comply with all Life Saving Rules, including proper use of LOTO and appropriate arc‑flash PPE.
• Work from drawings, diagrams, schematics, technical manuals, and written or verbal instructions to perform troubleshooting and repairs.
• Perform work within a cleanroom environment as required.
• Disassemble, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and vacuum systems.
• Maintain up‑to‑date manuals for preventive maintenance and replacement parts.
• Safely handle and work around process chemicals and gases.
• Maintain accurate files, records, and documentation to support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Be available to work irregular hours or return to the site in the event of unexpected equipment breakdowns or urgent projects.
• Promote and uphold safe and healthy working conditions across the department.
• Collaborate closely with process and equipment engineers to resolve chronic equipment issues and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure full compliance with departmental safety procedures and company standards.
• Keep the work area clean, safe, and compliant at all times.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Communicate progress and status updates to your team and supervisor at the end of each shift.

Outstanding Candidates Will Have:

• AAS Degree in Electronics/Electromechanics, Certificate / Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical / Control and Automation Engineering Experiencein equipment maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, electromechanical, and PLCs.
• High vacuum experience, including mechanical vacuum pumps, cryo pumps, diffusion pumps, and turbo pumps.
• Experience with RF electricity including tuning and matching networks.
• Able to adapt to the changing needs of a high-paced manufacturing environment.
• Knowledgeable with computer controls and systems including support equipment.
• Proficient in the use of most types of hand tools and meters.
• Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively.
• Able to diagnose and make correction for equipment faults and programming error effectively.
• Good organizational and follow-up skills, as well as sharp attention to detail.
• Knowledge of SAP a plus.
