Shield AI is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to ensure the reliability, safety, and mission readiness of X-BAT UAS and GSE. You will perform day-to-day maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection, and documentation while coordinating with engineering, quality, and production teams.

Ideal candidates have aviation maintenance experience, strong MS Office skills, and the ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance. Travel may be required, and a U.S. passport is recommended for role mobility.

Qualifications

• Experience in aviation maintenance and operations, coordinating across departments.
• Ability to read and follow technical manuals, drawings, and torque specs.
• Proficiency with maintenance tools and precision measuring equipment.
• Inspect aircraft components for wear, damage, and compliance with criteria.
• Maintain accurate maintenance, inspection, configuration and quality records.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Demonstrated integrity and teamwork.
• U.S.-issued passport.

Responsibilities

• Conduct organizational-level maintenance on X-BAT UAS and GSE.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain aircraft systems and components.
• Use manuals, drawings, and service bulletins to perform maintenance.
• Document inspections, repairs and replacements in company systems.
• Construct wiring harnesses and solder components for X-BAT systems.
• Comply with training and certification requirements for maintenance personnel.
• Support development of maintenance instructions and checklists.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, production, flight ops, and supply chain.
• Follow tool control, FOD, HAZMAT, ESD and safety programs.
