Perdue Foods is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to keep production equipment running at peak performance. You will install, troubleshoot, repair, modify, and rebuild production machinery and automated systems to ensure safety, reliability, and efficiency.
Perform preventive maintenance and contribute to continuous improvement across the facility. The role requires 3–5 years in industrial maintenance with hydraulics, mechanics, electrical, welding and rigging skills.

Join our team asa MaintenanceTechnician II and play a key role in keeping our operations running at peak performance. In this role, you will install, troubleshoot, repair, modify, and rebuild production machinery, as well as automated and electrical systems, to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. You will also perform preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime and support continuous improvement across the facility. Monday through Friday, 6:00pm-6:00am
Performa broader range of duties, more technically complex tasks, expected to set an example of professional efficiency, demonstrates a higher degree of independence, and may occasionally provide technicaldirectionto less experienced maintenance staff.
Provide equipment maintenance, interventions, and repairs, and conducts preventive machinery maintenance.
Perform intermediate level troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment.
Provide Operators with support around machine overall equipment reliability.
May assist in troubleshooting equipment set up and production changeovers.
Respond to equipment breakdowns in a timely manner. Recognize and report unusual, inefficient, or dangerous mechanical and electrical situations.
Maintain work records and prepare clear and concise oral and written reports.
Understand and follow all safety standards and quality protocols to ensure production exceeds the standards.
Utilize appropriate safety precautions, methods, and apparatus to minimize and withstand exposure to chemicals, dust, and mechanical and electrical hazards.
Learn and observe all safety precautions as required.
Work all required work schedules. Day travel to nearby locationsissometimes required.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
3 – 5years experiencein IndustrialMaintenance,troubleshooting and repairs on Mechanical and Electrical Equipment, and/orequivalent military experience.
Intermediate Proficiency in Hydraulics, Mechanics, Electrical, Welding and Rigging. Commitment to Continuous Learning to achieve increasing levels of expertise.
Mustbe able to demonstrate/achieve and maintain Maintenance Tech II proficiency within 10 months of hire.
2-yr Technical Degree in Engineering or Industrial Maintenance.
Sitting, standing, walking, climbing, kneeling, reaching overhead and/or at shoulder level, lifting (50 lbs.) and/or repetitive tasks throughout the day.
Position requires occasional moving to other offices or buildings.
May need to access files, supplies, and equipment.
Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces.
May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity.
May handleproduct25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
May be exposed to noise ranges of 50dbto 110 db.
May be exposed to all chemicals used in poultry, food,and aprocessing plant.
