Job summary

Sares Regis Group Residential of Newport Beach, California, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician II for Stanford West in Palo Alto, CA. This role covers turnover, renovations, and repairs across electrical, plumbing, drywall, HVAC, and common areas, with a Tuesday-Saturday 9:00 AM–6:00 PM schedule.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of multi-trades experience, strong OSHA knowledge, and outstanding customer service.

Qualifications

• 3 years experience in all trades (electrical, plumbing, drywall, paint, appliances, etc.).
• Knowledge and skill in performing quality work; able to use required tools and machinery; professional interaction with coworkers, residents and vendors; OSHA requirements knowledge; MSDS knowledge.
• Ability to read and interpret service orders and documents; ability to present information and respond to questions.
• High school diploma or GED, technical school, or 3-6 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent customer service skills a must!
• Ability to work weekends required.

Responsibilities

• Works in turnover and renovation units and responds to maintenance service requests.
• Performs external and internal repairs, including drywall, painting, fence and gate repairs, plumbing, appliance repairs, boilers and HVAC.
• Participates in emergency and after-hours coverage as required.
• Operates lathe, grinder, drill, and milling machine to repair parts and fixtures.
• Fabricates and repairs cabinets, benches, partitions and other wooden structures.
• Maintains inventory and related paperwork; keeps storage facilities organized.
