Job summary

Target is seeking an Engineering & Facilities Maintenance Technician 2 at the Midlothian, TX regional distribution center. The role focuses on installation, maintenance, and repair of automated material handling equipment to maximize uptime and support rapid guest order fulfillment.

Responsibilities include preventive and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting of robotics and conveyors, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to implement root-cause analyses.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Experience with MHE, robotics, and PLCs preferred.
• Ability to read electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical aspects of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) on site.
• Adjust components such as belts, chains, and pulleys; service motors and sensors.
• Inspect, clean, lubricate, and calibrate equipment regularly.
• Troubleshoot automated conveyor systems, robotics, AS/RS, and related controls.
• Use work orders and asset data to document labor hours and parts used.
• Collaborate with technicians and engineers to identify root causes and implement fixes.
