Job summary

BH Management is seeking a Service Technician II to assist with maintenance of our multifamily assets in Birmingham, AL. You will diagnose and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, and appliance systems while supporting make-readies and preventive maintenance projects.

The role requires hands-on problem solving, ability to work under supervision, and participation in an on-call schedule. EPA 608 Type I certification and own tools are required; a High School diploma is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of general maintenance and safety experience.
• Working knowledge of basic appliance repairs.
• Intermediate computer skills, including industry specific technology.
• High School diploma – preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process maintenance requests and repairs for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, and appliances.
• Assist with make-readies and preventive maintenance per BH guidelines.
• Identify and report hazardous conditions to supervisors.
• Maintain property-issued tools and post notices.
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to resident requests.
