Job summary

OBE is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to join our industrial team in the United States. This full-time role starts from a solid foundation for growth, with a history of promoting workers from within and offering opportunities to advance into higher‑pay roles.

Key duties include operating and repairing a wide range of equipment, performing preventive maintenance, and keeping work areas safe and clean. Strong PLC exposure, VFD know-how, and electrical/schematic literacy are valued.

Qualifications

• PLC exposure – understand basic PLC I/O indications; no programming required.
• Well-rounded maintenance skills with mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic experience.
• Hands-on experience with Variable Frequency Drives.
• Familiar with 24VDC control circuits and reading technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Follow Safety & Company Policies – adhere to procedures incl. electrical safety, lockout/tagout, hot work, and periodic checks.
• Operate & Repair Equipment – operate/repair furnaces, sealant machines, forklifts, cranes, and other production machinery; coordinate with OEMs.
• Support Preventive Maintenance – perform PMs, assist plant maintenance, document work; weekend PM coverage required.
• Maintain clean & safe work areas; keep tools and spaces organized.
• Assist Production & Drive Improvements – support production, interpret blueprints, troubleshoot, and propose improvements.
