Role: Maintenance Technician

You will perform high‑quality maintenance work in single‑family rental homes while providing outstanding customer service to residents. Key responsibilities include:

• Completing maintenance service requests across multiple trades.
• Providing excellent customer service and promoting a quality living experience for all residents.
• Performing required work while demonstrating respect for residents’ homes.
• Completing regular ProCare visits to perform proactive maintenance and repairs, completing the associated checklist in the mobile app, and scheduling the next ProCare visit.
• Educating residents on maintenance topics and the expectation webpages (https://www.invitationhomes.com/resident-responsibilities).
• Educating residents on the functional systems of their home.
• Conducting general condition assessments at all property visits and alerting the property management team when items require immediate attention.
• Using technician reports to identify improvement opportunities.
• Performing repairs in vacant properties during the on‑market or turn process.
• Using and caring for company‑supplied tools, materials, and vehicles.
• Reviewing next day’s appointments and ensuring equipment, material, and time are available for a single visit.
• Adhering to all Safety guidelines.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2‑5+ years proven experience in residential repairs and maintenance, or related building maintenance.
• OSHA 10 required (new hires will receive up to 90 days to complete certification).
• Current driver’s license, automobile insurance, and any other state‑required licenses/certifications.
• Comfortable with mobile devices (iPad, iPhone) and mobile applications.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills; strong verbal and written communication; multi‑lingual a plus.
• Ability to use basic hand and power tools.
• Physical ability to climb, reach, stoop, kneel, crawl, lift, and move more than 50 pounds.
• Capacity to work regularly, including occasional weekends and holidays, and be at work on a consistent basis.

Preferred Certifications

• EPA Type I, Type II, or Universal HVAC Certification.
• CPO certification (pool).
• Other relevant certifications.

Salary Range

$22.21 – $38.50 per hour, plus potential annual discretionary bonus. Compensation within range depends on skills, experience, education, location, and applicable employment laws.
