Calico Cottage Confections, LLC in Belleville, IL is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to ensure the reliability, safety, and performance of production and facility equipment in a food manufacturing environment.

You will troubleshoot, repair, and adjust mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems; read manuals and schematics; and support preventive maintenance and basic fabrication. Join a team focused on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience preferred in food/beverage/CPG manufacturing.
• Mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical troubleshooting.
• Ability to read mechanical and electrical schematics.
• Welding and basic fabrication experience.
• Experience using CMMS.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and adjust mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Diagnose and repair bearings, chains, gearboxes, motors, conveyors, pumps, valves, and related components.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and restore to safe operating condition.
• Read manuals, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Assist with installation, startup, and testing of new/modified equipment.
• Perform regular walk-throughs in Production Departments.
• Execute scheduled preventive maintenance tasks using the CMMS.
• Inspect, lubricate, adjust, and calibrate machinery.
• Document completed maintenance work and observations.
• Identify recurring issues and recommend improvements.
• Perform light welding, cutting, and basic fabrication.
• Fabricate and install guards, brackets, and supports.
• Assist with basic electrical troubleshooting.
• Identify mechanical causes of control or automation issues.
• Share knowledge and best practices with the maintenance team.
