Job summary

Protolabs is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to ensure reliability and efficiency of production equipment and facility systems. You will perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, and repair to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; vocational/technical school or associate degree in industrial maintenance, electrical technology, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Basic electrical knowledge up to 480V; experience with motors, starters, relays, and VFDs.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and basic PLC ladder logic.
• Proficient with common hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance on machine tools including cleaning, lubrication, belt replacement, and basic repairs.
• Become proficient with complex repairs as required.
• Complete occasional CAD projects within Facilities and maintenance departments.
• Assist with implementation and maintenance of CMMS program.
• Adhere to quality and safety standards; maintain organized work area.
