Job summary

Protolabs is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure safe, efficient operation of production and support equipment. You will perform preventive maintenance, calibrations, and troubleshooting, coordinating downtime with supervisors. The role collaborates with Engineering to improve reliability and may design parts to boost performance.

Shift is Tuesday to Saturday, 8am–5pm. The company emphasizes safety procedures, documentation, and continuous process improvement across a dynamic

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance & repair on equipment, schedule downtime with Supervisors.
Perform technical calibrations using basic measuring equipment.
Install, start-up and shut down equipment following safety procedures and OSHA rules.
Troubleshoot equipment issues and follow checklists.
Assist other technicians to ensure procedures are followed accurately.
Identify improvements in reliability and functionality with Engineering.
Design and build parts to improve machine performance.
Conduct experiments to find root causes of build failures.
Complete assignments from Supervisor or Production Manager.
Seek ways to improve processes and performance.
Return tools and supplies to proper storage.
