Job summary

PDS Tech Commercial, Inc. in partnership with a Fortune 500 company seeks an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to service material handling equipment in Katy/Brookshire, TX. The role is a fixed contract with strong potential to convert to a permanent position, with competitive hourly pay.

You will perform preventative maintenance on conveyors, troubleshoot electrical/control systems, and support continuous improvements. Shift options and a robust benefits package accompany this opportunity.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years mechanical maintenance experience with conveyors preferred.
• Must own basic hand and power tools (drills, grinders, saws).
• Welding and cutting torch ability required.
• Forklift or other VOC experience and certification preferred (Raymond aerial lift preferred).
• Basic painting, minor plumbing and lighting knowledge helpful.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on conveyors, sortation systems and forklifts.
• Troubleshoot electrical controls, motors and PLC-related components; install/setup VFDs and servo motors.
• Handle maintenance projects on conveyor systems including installation and modifications.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems and locate repair parts.
• Maintain records like work orders, time sheets and parts requests (CMMS).

Time to put those mechanical skills to work! If you are an experienced Maintenance Mechanic working with conveyor systems – we are looking for you!

PDS Tech Commercial, Inc. in partnership with a Fortune 500 company, is looking to hire Maintenance Mechanics to support our clients peak retail season in Katy/Brookshire, TX. These fixed contract roles (with potential to be hired on) won’t last long!

• Shift : 3rd shift 9p-7a and 2nd shift 1p-11:30p (Working Wed-Sat)

• Pay Rate: $30-35/hourly plus shift differential

• Duration: Long term contract (with great potential to be hired on)!

What You’ll Be Doing

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on mechanical material handling equipment, including transportation conveyors, sortation systems, and forklifts. Perform emergency mechanical repairs to failed material handling systems

• Troubleshoot electrical control systems inclusive of motors, and their associated controls to the PLC output. Must have the ability to install/setup VFD’s, as well as servo motor controls, and troubleshoot peripheral control devices to the PLC input.

• Perform maintenance projects on conveyor systems to include: installation, removal, and process improvement changes.

• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

• Identify and locate required repair parts for failed systems.

• Maintain accurate record keeping such as: work orders, time sheets, and parts requests. (CMMS)

Your Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years mechanical maintenance experience (conveyor systems highly preferred)

• Must have command of basic manual hand/power tools - including drills, grinders, and saws.

• Have the ability to weld and utilize a cutting torch.

• Knowledge of painting/minor plumbing/lighting.

• Previous Forklift or other Powered Industrial Vehicle experience and certification (Raymond Arial Lift highly preferred)

Pay Details: $30.00 to $35.00 per hour
