Enbridge, as advertised by VetJobs, seeks an Electrical Controls Technician for an on-site role in Chambersburg, PA. You will maintain electrical systems and equipment including switchgear, motors, generators, pumps, and fans, plus DC systems, PLCs, HMIs, and control networks.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain electrical systems and equipment such as switchgear, motors, generators, pumps, and fans.
  • Maintain DC electrical systems and equipment such as batteries, chargers, rectifiers, and inverters.
  • Maintain station and unit level electrical control systems and their components such as PLCs, HMIs, and control networks.
  • Maintain station and unit level electrical control system end devices such as motor controls, pressure transmitters, pressure switches, temperature sensors, limit switches, solenoids, and actuators.
  • Maintain safety systems and their components such as ESD panels, gas detectors, flame detectors, and manual activation switches.
  • Assist in planning work and contributing budget-related information as required, consistent with the annual budgeting process.
  • Ensure the proper operation, compliance, inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of station systems such as air systems, air dryer systems, fuel systems, cooling systems, gas compression, prime mover, and all other equipment necessary to maintain gas delivery through the compressor station.

What You Will Do

You Have The Following Education And/or Experience

High school graduate or equivalent education.

A minimum of 2 years of electrical/instrumentation experience in an industrial type setting OR the equivalent experience necessary to perform required tasks of Technician Level 1 on a stand-alone basis.

Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.

Preferred Assets

Associate degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent education and/or experience.

Working Conditions

Must be able to perform physically demanding activities in all types of weather conditions.

Residency Requirement: Must reside within 30 Miles of the assigned reporting location.

Must be able and willing to work overtime, weekends, shift, be on call and standby, and travel overnight as required.

Possesses the desire to learn and advance, as an Electrical Controls Technician.
