Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required; HVAC/building maintenance certificate preferred.
• Minimum 1–3 years of professional maintenance experience required.
• Basic understanding of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and carpentry systems.
• Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods in commercial and residential.
• Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices.
• Manual dexterity, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work with increasing independence.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. and perform physical tasks as described.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, preventative, and corrective maintenance across YWCA facilities.
• Conduct surveys and repairs to ensure health and safety standards.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems; assist with HVAC and basic repairs.
• Maintain heating and plumbing systems; carpentry and general repairs.
• Install and maintain equipment, appliances, and building fixtures.
• Safety and compliance: inspect alarms, follow OSHA standards, report hazards.
• Groundskeeping: landscaping and exterior maintenance as needed.
• Complete work orders accurately and participate in trainings.
