Job summary

CJ Schwan's is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the 2nd shift in Minnesota. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on conveyors, mixers, ovens, and packaging machines to keep production flowing.

Follow strict food-safety rules, handle emergency repairs, and manage spare parts while maintaining a clean, safe work area. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, with 0–2 years of related experience; a two-year trade degree is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; a two-year maintenance/trade degree is preferred.
• 0–2 years of related maintenance experience recommended.
• Ability to read and interpret safety documents, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to complete work orders and enter paperwork into a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment ( conveyors, mixers, ovens, packaging machines).
• Follow food safety rules and use proper cleaning procedures and food-grade materials.
• Handle emergency repairs during production to minimize downtime.
• Manage spare parts and tools inventory to ensure availability for maintenance tasks.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and adhere to OSHA regulations.
