Job summary

TRACHTE BUILDING SYSTEMS INC is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for the Sun Prairie area. Bring a 2-year technical degree or equivalent experience to perform preventive maintenance, setup/changeover, and complex repairs on plant machinery. You will troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic systems and read schematics.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Industrial Maintenance Technician Program diploma preferred.
• Must obtain forklift certification within 60 days after starting job; prior forklift experience preferred.
• Prior industrial maintenance experience.
• PLC or electrical experience.
• Minimum of two (2) years of related field experience; strong electrical and mechanical experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment and document tasks in CMMS.
• Repair and maintain plant machinery and equipment per manuals and specs.
• Identify improvements in production methods by observing processes and collaborating with line personnel.
• Provide technical assistance to production for setup and changeover of equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical failures.
• Use blueprints and manuals to diagnose issues and select parts.
• Conduct root cause analysis and document in CMMS.
• Work in a team environment and adapt to change.
• Comply with safety practices including LOTO and NFPA 70e.
