Opportunity: Maintenance Technician II - San Diego, CA

Schedule: Days required Sunday - Thursday. Must be able to work on call.

Sares Regis Group is seeking an experienced maintenance professional for our beautiful 299-unit community, Vera Cortez Hill! This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in the property management industry.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Working in turnover and renovation units, as well as responding to maintenance service requests.
• Performing external and internal repairs, including drywall, painting, fence and gate repairs, plumbing, appliance repairs, boilers, HVAC systems, and common area maintenance.
• Participating in emergency and after-hours coverage based on schedule or as required.
• Using machine tools such as lathe, grinder, drill, and milling machine for repairs or fabrication.
• Fabricating and repairing wooden structures like cabinets, counters, and partitions.
• Maintaining inventory and related paperwork.
• Keeping storage facilities and equipment in good condition.

Qualifications:

• Experience in electrical, plumbing, drywall, painting, appliances, etc.
• Proven skills in performing quality work with required tools and machinery; professional interaction with co-workers, residents, and vendors; knowledge of OSHA and MSDS requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret service orders, safety rules, and manuals; effective communication skills.
• High school diploma or GED, technical training, or 3-6 months related experience; or equivalent.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• HVAC and CPO certifications required.
• Ability to work weekends.

Salary range: $23.00 - $25.00/hour. We offer competitive benefits including 401(K) match, rental incentives, bonuses, and discounts. Full-time employees working 30-40 hours weekly are eligible for medical, dental, vision, voluntary benefits, and vacation accrual. Sick time is provided as per law.
