Opportunity: Maintenance Technician II - San Diego, CA

Schedule: Thursday - Monday, 8am - 5pm

This role involves working in a 970-unit community, handling maintenance, repairs, and renovations, with responsibilities including drywall, painting, plumbing, appliance repairs, HVAC, and general upkeep. The position may require emergency and after-hours coverage.

Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance and repairs in turnover and renovation units, responding to service requests.
• Handle external and internal repairs, including drywall, painting, fencing, plumbing, appliances, boilers, HVAC systems, and common areas.
• Participate in emergency and after-hours coverage as needed.
• Operate machine tools for fabrication and repair tasks.
• Fabricate and repair wooden structures and fixtures.
• Maintain inventory and documentation.
• Ensure storage and equipment are well-maintained.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years experience in trades such as electrical, plumbing, drywall, painting, appliances, etc.
• Proficiency in using tools and machinery, with a focus on quality work.
• Strong customer service skills and professional interaction.
• Ability to read and interpret service orders, manuals, and safety documents.
• High school diploma or GED, with relevant technical training or experience.
• Ability to work weekends.

Compensation includes an hourly wage of $24.00-$27.50, with additional benefits such as 401(k) match, rental incentives, bonuses, and discounts. The signing bonus is paid in two installments, contingent on employment duration.
