Job summary

Drury Plaza Hotel in New Orleans seeks a Maintenance Tech I to keep the property safe and well‑maintained. You will handle plumbing, electrical, HVAC, refrigeration and kitchen equipment, plus minor carpentry and painting tasks.

Ideal candidates bring advanced maintenance knowledge, ability to dismantle equipment, pool maintenance know‑how, and a commitment to preventative maintenance and guest service. Flexible for emergency repairs.

Qualifications

• Advanced maintenance knowledge across hotel systems.
• Ability to dismantle equipment to repair/replace components.
• Knowledge of water chemistry and pool operations.
• Experience with preventative maintenance programs.
• Fluent English; able to follow written and verbal directions.
• Flexible for emergency repairs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe and smooth-running hotel property and grounds.
• Perform repairs on plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, kitchen equipment and HVAC.
• Complete light carpentry, painting, vinyl and drywall repair.
• Implement and monitor safety and regulatory programs.
• Keep detailed records and reports.
• Provide training to Maintenance Tech I team members.
• Collaborate with management to recruit for department needs.
• Contribute to guest experience with courteous service.
