Neogen in Michigan is seeking a Production Operator to support assembly, packaging and quality processes in a manufacturing environment. You will inspect components, assemble packaging, dispense and label parts, and maintain accurate production records.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma or equivalent and can read English, perform basic math, and work across departments as needed. This role offers benefits from day one, PTO and opportunities for growth within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

  • Education: Minimum High School education; or up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Language: Ability to read, interpret and understand documents in English; write and speak simple sentences in English.
  • Mathematical Skills: Basic arithmetic for weights, volumes and measurements in US units.

Responsabilités

  • Inspect components and final products.
  • Assemble product components into final packaging.
  • Dispense, cap, stopper, seal and label components.
  • Complete production paperwork, including quantities produced, scrapped and in-process.
  • Maintain general cleanliness and organization of the work area.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform inspection of components and final products.
  • Assemble product components into final packaging.
  • Dispense, cap, stopper, seal and label components.
  • Complete production paperwork, including quantities produced, scrapped and in-process.
  • Maintains general cleanliness and organization of physical area(s).
  • May work in different departments and buildings as production needs require.
  • Other duties as may be assigned by Management.
Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education and/or Experience: Minimum High School education; or up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. The ability to work in the metric system for weights, liquid and volume measurements.

Language Skills: Ability to read, interpret and understand documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedural documents in English. The person must be able to write and speak simple sentences in English.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers, multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s and calculate percent. The ability to perform these calculations using units of American weight and measurement.
