Qualifications

Job Description

Venturi, LLC, a Chenega company, has an exciting career opportunity for a Maintenance Technician II who performs assignments that are not completely standardized or prescribed. The Maintenance Technician II will support Missile Defense Deployment and Sustainment Operations (MDDSO) for the Army RCCTO MRCPO, handling storage, maintenance, packaging, handling, shipping, and transportation of MRCPO assets including the Typhon weapon system. The role involves selecting or adapting standard procedures or equipment with guidance from supervisors or engineers and performing recurring work independently.

The maintenance tasks include fleet maintenance for DoD clients, involving repair, fabrication, overhaul, modification, refurbishment, testing, analysis, and disposal of parts and equipment requiring advanced technical knowledge and shop facilities.

Responsibilities
  • Perform fleet planning, operation, and maintenance.
  • Maintain and track inventory.
  • Use CMMS software to track work orders.
  • Perform electrical diagnostics and repairs (AC up to 480V 3PH, DC up to 48V).
  • Perform paint, coating removal, priming, and recoating.
  • Diagnose and repair hydraulic and HVAC systems.
  • Possession of EPA608 Universal and EPA609 certifications is a plus; AWS D.1.1 and D.17.1 certifications are desired.
  • Perform welding and fabrication using various processes and tools.
  • Inspect, repair, and replace vehicle braking and suspension systems.
  • Follow diagrams, drawings, and procedures for maintenance and construction tasks.
  • Provide technical support in maintenance, transportation, inventory, and testing operations.
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on vehicles and material handling equipment.
  • Operate various vehicles and diagnostic equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 5+ years relevant experience.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Interim secret clearance required on day one, with ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to follow instructions.
  • Proper use of hand tools and material handling equipment.
  • Operation of heavy equipment including trucks and forklifts.
  • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds with proper techniques.
  • Physical fitness and full use of arms, legs, and back.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain necessary training and certifications.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to travel 20-30%.
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
