Job summary

Mary Lanning Healthcare in Hastings, NE is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to perform urgent and routine repairs of electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems across hospital facilities.

You will read blueprints and work orders, conduct preventive maintenance, monitor equipment readings, manage inventories, and coordinate assignments with facilities staff. A GED or high school diploma is required, and an associate degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs urgent, routine and requisitioned repairs of electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems and related equipment.
• Reads, interprets and completes work orders and blueprints to repair equipment and systems.
• Performs preventive maintenance inspections and minor repairs on building and plant equipment (lifts, washers/dryers, compressors, shop equipment, ovens, etc.).
• Diagnoses system malfunctions on mechanical and electrical equipment and replaces defective parts as needed.
• Winter snow removal and salting of walks/parking lots to prevent ice build-up.
• Maintains inventory of supplies and materials and coordinates work assignments with Mary Lanning Healthcare facilities staff.
• Assists in maintaining Life Safety systems and signage processes.
• Attends departmental meetings/in-services and contributes to quality improvement programs.
