Position Purpose

This role accelerates business value by responsibilities for the reliable operation and maintenance of the plant’s manufacturing systems and physical property. Activities include preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, tool identification and usage, and small physical property repairs. Additional activities may include operating equipment to improve processing times and reduce downtimes.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct preventive maintenance and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.
• Operate processing machinery to minimize downtime.
• Read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
• Maintain water plant equipment such as ice makers, compressors, heat exchangers, and refrigeration systems.
• Ensure equipment functionality and supplies readiness.
• Order and control inventory of repair parts and equipment.
• Inspect ice quality for clarity and size.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement countermeasures.
• Assist with minor facility maintenance tasks.
• Instruct and coach others on tool and equipment usage.
• Assist with production workflow as needed.
• Conduct basic electrical and electronic systems maintenance.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and report to the Operations Manager.
• Complete safety checklists and monitor industrial health and safety issues.
• Adhere to safety and ethical standards.

• Ability to interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and manuals.
• Alertness and ability to work safely and efficiently.
• Strong concentration and cognitive skills.
• Ability to respond promptly to operational issues and emergencies.

Qualifications

• Maintenance certification such as Journeyman in electrical, plumbing, or mechanical disciplines, or relevant certifications like Refrigeration Operator or Maintenance Technician Level III.
• Preferred: Additional certifications and a high school diploma or GED.

Working Conditions

Conditions vary from office to plant environments, including exposure to temperature fluctuations, electrical hazards, and chemicals. Night and weekend shifts, occasional travel, and overtime may be required. Must be able to work in a fast-paced, changing environment, and lift a minimum of 45 lbs.
