Invitation Homes is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to perform high‑quality maintenance in single‑family rental homes while delivering outstanding customer service to residents. The role involves multi‑trade repairs, proactive ProCare visits, and educating residents on maintenance topics.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• OSHA 10 certification (or completion within 90 days)
• Proven experience in residential repairs and maintenance
• Understanding of residential construction and mechanical systems

• Comfortable using mobile devices (iPad/iPhone) and mobile apps
• Current driver’s license, automobile insurance, and any required licenses/certifications

Responsibilities

• Complete maintenance service requests across multiple trades
• Provide excellent customer service and promote a quality living experience for residents
• Complete ProCare visits in residents’ homes for proactive maintenance and repairs
• Educate residents regarding maintenance topics
• Perform property condition assessments and alert management to urgent items
• Review technician reports to identify opportunities for improvement
• Perform repairs in vacant properties during market or turn processes
• Properly use and care for company-supplied tools, materials, and vehicles
• Perform other duties as assigned

Your Role on the Team

As a Maintenance Technician II, you will perform high‑quality maintenance work in our single‑family rental homes while providing outstanding customer service to our residents.

Responsibilities

• Complete maintenance service requests across multiple trades
• Provide excellent customer service and promote a quality living experience for all residents
• Complete regular ProCare visits in residents’ homes to perform proactive maintenance and repairs
• Educate residents regarding all maintenance topics
• Complete general property condition assessments at all property visits and alert the property management team when items require immediate attention
• Review and use Technician‑specific reports to find opportunities for improvement
• Perform repairs in vacant properties while they are on the market or during the turn process
• Properly use and care for company‑supplied tools, materials, and vehicles
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• OSHA 10 certification (or completion within 90 days if not already certified)
• Proven experience in residential repairs and maintenance, building maintenance, or related experience
• Understanding of residential construction and mechanical systems with ability to perform general repairs in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, sheetrock, exterior structural, HVAC (minor), and appliances
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with strong verbal and written communication skills (multilingual a plus)
• Comfortable using mobile devices (iPad and/or iPhone) and various mobile applications
• Current driver’s license, automobile insurance, and any other licenses or certifications required by state law

Preferred Certifications

• EPA Certification
• Type I and II HVAC Certification
• CPO certification (pool)

Physical Demands

• Frequent climbing, reaching, use of fingers, stooping, kneeling, crawling, pushing, pulling, lifting, talking, and hearing
• Ability to lift and/or move an excess of 50 pounds or more and operate standard maintenance equipment as assigned

Schedule

• Work on a regular and consistent basis, including weekends and holidays as needed

Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range: $20.19 – $35.00 per hour, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
