Job summary

Drury Hotels is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep the Drury Inn & Suites property in Champaign, IL in top condition. You will perform repairs across plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, kitchen equipment, and HVAC, while upholding safety standards and efficient operations.

English proficiency is required, with on-call readiness for emergencies. The role offers hourly pay with quarterly bonuses and benefits, including health coverage and retirement plans, plus opportunities for growth

Qualifications

• Advanced maintenance knowledge across multiple hotel systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot machinery faults and perform repairs.
• Experience with preventative maintenance programs and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe, well-running hotel property and grounds.
• Complete repairs and preventative maintenance on plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, kitchen equipment, and HVAC.
• Perform light carpentry, painting, vinyl and drywall repair.
• Implement and monitor safety programs for ergonomic and emergency readiness.
• Keep detailed records and reports.
• Provide training to Maintenance Tech I team members.
• Collaborate with management to recruit for department needs.
• Contribute to guest experience with courteous service.

What you will do:

Maintain safe and smooth-running physical hotel property and grounds.

• Complete repairsand preventative maintenanceon a variety of systems such as plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, kitchen equipmentand HVAC

• Perform light carpentry, painting, vinyl and drywall repair

• Implement and monitor programs to ensure a safe facility and work environment in compliance with all appropriate regulations: ergonomic, emergency response and injury prevention

• Keep detailed records and reports

• Provide ongoing training to Maintenance Tech I team members

• Collaborate with management to recruit for department needs

• Contribute to an exceptional guest experience by providing courteous and friendly guest service

• We seek self-motivated, organized team members with the ability to demonstrate or be trained to be able to perform the following:

• Advanced maintenance knowledge and skills, with ability to handle all aspects of hotel maintenance

• Ability to complete partial or full dismantling of equipment to repair or replace defective components and restore functionality

• Knowledge of water chemistry, water testing, filtration, and mechanical operationsfor pool maintenance

• Experience in implementing and monitoring preventative maintenance programs to ensure a safe and well-maintained hotel

• Knowledge of building maintenance, including minor electrical repair and plumbing

• Ability to speak, write and receive direction (written and verbal direction) in English

• Ability to troubleshoot andrepair machinery faults using appropriate testing methods

• Flexibility to be available for emergency repair

The pay range is $21.24 - $41.55

The starting wage may be above the minimum rate, based on relevant experience, skills, and education.
