Job summary

BARRETT & STOKELY INC is seeking a Full-Time Maintenance Technician at Vanguard at 16 Tech in Indianapolis, IN. The role will involve preventative maintenance activities and responding to customer repair requests promptly and effectively.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma or G.E.D. and their own tools for building maintenance. Exceptional customer service skills are essential along with the ability to work an on-call rotation. Starting pay is $19 per hour with various employee benefits.

Essential Job Functions

• As instructed by Maintenance Supervisor, completes preventative maintenance activities.
• Provide excellent customer service in fixing customer requests for maintenance support. This includes timely and responsive resolution to assigned maintenance requests.
• Assist with completing maintenance service requests involving plumbing, electrical, drywall, and other types.
• Participate in after-hours on-call rotation as scheduled, responds to emergency service requests (after-hour emergency calls).
• Complete all maintenance work orders within assigned timeframe and make most apartments ready within five (5) business days of vacancy.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
• Possess your own basic tools to perform building maintenance.
• Valid driver's license preferred. Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check is required.
• Must be willing to work on an on-call rotation.
