Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Two-year technical degree in a relevant field preferred.
• Must pass UniFirst’s maintenance knowledge assessment test.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics required.
• Lockout/Tagout experience required.
• Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills required.

Responsibilities

• Utilize hand/power tools, precision measurement tools, and electronic testing devices.
• Ensure safe operation of machinery and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
• Follow blueprints, schematics, manuals, and engineering specs.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues using precision instruments.
• Perform boiler chemical and wastewater pre-treatment tests and log results.
• Conduct daily/weekly boiler safety checks and repairs as needed.
• Record and analyze utility meter readings and take corrective actions.
• Perform daily/weekly location/system safety checks and address concerns.
• Inspect motors, belts, fluids, and replace filters per procedures.
• Inspect, clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears and components.
• Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
