Job summary
UniFirst is seeking a reliable Maintenance Tech II to join our team in the Maintenance Department. You will handle repairs, maintenance, installation and troubleshooting of industrial equipment, and follow blueprints and specifications.
The role includes boiler testing, safety checks, basic welding, and CMMS logging while offering on-the-job training and occasional overtime. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, with a 2-year tech degree preferred and at least 1 year of
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Two-year technical degree preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Experience repairing industrial processing equipment in production environment (1+ year).
- Ability to read blueprints/schematics in English.
- Lockout/Tagout experience.
- Overtime as needed; valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot equipment problems through observation and testing instruments.
- Assist maintenance personnel with emergency and non-emergency repairs.
- Troubleshoot and repair PLCs and control systems.
- Follow blueprints, schematics, manuals and specs.
- Perform boiler chemical testing and adjust as needed.
- Conduct daily/weekly boiler safety checks and maintenance.
- Inspect/mend belts, shafts, and other parts; perform lubrication.
