Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a reliable Maintenance Tech I to join our UniFirst community in Cranberry Township. You will repair, maintain, install, and troubleshoot industrial equipment and systems, following blueprints and manuals.

The role includes boilers, chemical testing, safety checks, and using a CMMS for maintenance records. We offer on-the-job training, a Monday–Friday work week with periodic night and weekend overtime, and opportunities for career growth in a rapidly expanding organization.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 6 months’ work experience repairing industrial processing equipment in a production environment.
• Must pass UniFirst’s maintenance knowledge assessment test.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Lockout / Tagout experience required.

Responsibilities

• Utilize hand/power tools, precision measurement tools, and electronic testing devices.
• Ensure safe operation of machinery and related systems.
• Follow blueprints, schematics, operation manuals, and engineering specifications.
• Troubleshoot equipment problems using precision instruments.
• Perform boiler chemical and wastewater pre-treatment testing and adjust chemicals as needed.
• Carry out daily and weekly safety checks on boilers and address issues.
