Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a reliable and hardworking Maintenance Tech I to join our team in Jeannette, PA. You will handle repairs, maintenance, installation and troubleshooting of industrial equipment and systems in a fast-paced environment.

The role follows a Monday–Friday schedule with periodic night and weekend overtime and includes on-the-job training to help you grow within the company. You will work with hand and power tools, read blueprints, and use testing devices while ensuring safe

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Two-year technical degree preferred.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Valid driver’s license with safe driving record.
Knowledgeable in maintenance equipment.
Minimum 6 months of repair experience on industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

Operate hand/power tools and testing devices.
Ensure safe operation of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
Follow blueprints, schematics and manuals.
Troubleshoot equipment problems using precision instruments.
Perform boiler chemical and wastewater testing and adjust as needed.
Conduct daily/weekly safety checks and perform repairs.
Record utility meter readings and take corrective actions.
Inspect and maintain shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts.
Utilize a CMMS for maintenance records and tasks.
