Job summary

City of University Park seeks a Maintenance Worker to support street and utility maintenance, including water and sewer mains installation and repair. You will prepare and clean work sites, operate heavy equipment, and respond to after-hours emergencies in a Dallas-area city.

Requires a high school diploma and 6 months of outdoor manual labor. A Texas Class C license is required, with ability to obtain a Class B-CDL within 6 months. Competitive benefits provided by the City.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 6 months of outdoor manual labor experience preferred; water/sewer mains & streets experience a plus.
• Valid Texas Class C driver's license required; ability to obtain Class B-CDL within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Maintain streets, curbs, alleys and utility cuts.
• Operate and perform preventive maintenance on heavy equipment.
• Respond to citizen requests and supervisor work orders.
• Prepare and clean work sites and equipment after jobs.
• Install and maintain water and sewer mains and appurtenances.
• Maintain records of work performed and daily forms.
