Job summary
Four Seasons Retirement Center in Columbus, IN is seeking a Maintenance Technician 1 to help keep buildings and grounds safe and well‑maintained for residents, staff, and visitors. You will perform routine and preventive maintenance, troubleshoot plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry; replace filters, install appliances, assist with renovations, and support on‑call and weekend rotations.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to use basic hand and electrical tools.
- Willingness to learn on the job.
- Read technical manuals and perform basic calculations.
- Effective communication of technical information.
- Dependable and safety-minded; capable of physical work.
Responsibilities
- Maintain community buildings and grounds year-round.
- Complete maintenance work orders and document them.
- Troubleshoot plumbing, electrical, HVAC and related systems.
- Assist with renovations and turnover work.
- Replace filters, service water softeners and perform routine repairs.
- Install appliances and mount fixtures; assemble furnishings.
- Assist contractors and organize supplies and spaces.
- Work safely and secure worksites from hazards.
- Participate in on-call and weekend rotations; irregular hours as needed.
