Job summary

Klein Tools is seeking a Maintenance Technician I in Mansfield, TX. You will maintain and repair two types of machine equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and conduct safety inspections to minimize downtime.

You will also assist with capital equipment installations and maintain asset records. The role requires a HS diploma or GED with 3 years of equipment repair experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work in a team.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required and 3+ years of manufacturing equipment repair experience.
• Two-type machine troubleshooting and repair experience required (mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic or electrical).
• Experience with EMaint maintenance work order system preferred.
• Basic math and computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair manufacturing equipment, processes, and systems on at least two machine types (mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic or electrical).
• Perform painting, sheet metal work, welding as needed.
• Diagnose malfunctions, disassemble and estimate repair time, source parts, perform, test and release repairs.
• Conduct preventive maintenance inspections on drives, motors, belts, fluids, filters, lubrication.
• Monitor safety standards and complete scheduled inspections for all machines.
• Maintain facility systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry.
• Assist with capital equipment installation and electrical wiring.
• Maintain asset management and maintenance records.
• Prepare repair project plans and status reports.
• Keep work area 6S compliant and orderly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
