Job summary

Forkids Inc. in Chesapeake, VA seeks a Maintenance Technician I to perform minor maintenance, landscaping and cleaning at all agency sites, including residential and offices, with on-call duties in an 8-week rotating cycle.

The role reports to Operations Management and involves coordinating with the Maintenance Coordinator and vendors, performing routine inspections, and supporting safety and cleanliness across properties.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform minor maintenance on agency properties (HVAC filters, light bulbs, batteries, painting).
• Keep storage spaces clean and orderly.
• Assist in preparing units for occupancy and landscaping tasks.
• Coordinate with vendors and manage access for maintenance crews.
• Perform routine inspections of agency vehicles and equipment.
• Participate in on-call rotation as required.
