Job summary

Stratum is seeking a Maintenance Technician I for the Sandy, OR area to support apartment communities with hands-on repairs and upkeep. You will handle plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general maintenance tasks to ensure a safe and attractive living environment.

The role offers full-time, 32-hour schedules, Friday through Monday, with benefits including health, dental, vision, and a 401(k) with company match, plus a $50 monthly phone stipend and mileage reimbursement.

Qualifications

• One year of maintenance, porter, janitorial, landscaping, construction, or related experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general repairs.
• Strong work ethic with a commitment to safety and quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, drywall, flooring, and appliance repairs.
• Help maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the entire property.
• Complete routine work orders and preventative maintenance tasks.
• Maintain common areas, including the leasing office, clubhouse, fitness center, laundry rooms, restrooms, and model apartments.
• Perform landscaping duties including mowing, trimming, edging, fertilizing, and pruning.
• Conduct daily property walks and remove trash and debris.
• Assist with snow and ice removal to maintain a safe community.
• Help maintain pool areas, including basic pool upkeep and water testing.
• Pressure wash, paint curbs, and assist with general property upkeep projects.
• Support property inspections and safety initiatives.
• Accurately document completed work and maintenance activities.
• May occasionally assist in cleaning company Airbnb properties.
