Job summary

Stratum LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician I for Eastpark Apartment Homes in Salem, OR. The role is a hands-on, full-time position with a consistent schedule (Tue–Sat, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM) and opportunities to work on plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and more.

Responsibilities include property upkeep, repairs, landscaping, and safety compliance, with duties rotating across units and common areas. The ideal candidate has 1+ year in maintenance and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

  • Has maintenance, porter, janitorial, landscaping, construction, or related experience.
  • Has at least one year of maintenance experience in multifamily housing, commercial, or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general maintenance and repairs (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, etc.).
  • Maintain cleanliness and appearance of property and common areas.
  • Perform landscaping duties (mowing, trimming, edging, fertilizing, pruning).
  • Conduct daily property walks and address safety or appearance concerns.
  • Assist with pool maintenance, inspections, and water testing.
  • Document completed work and maintenance activities.

Maintenance Technician I - Apartments

Eastpark Apartment Homes | Salem, OR
$23-$28 per hour pending on experience
Tuesday-Saturday | 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

Eastpark Apartment Homes is looking for a Maintenance Technician to help keep our community safe, clean, and well-maintained. This is a hands-on, fast-paced position where no two days are exactly alike.

As a Maintenance Technician, you'll play an important role in creating a community residents are proud to call home. One day you may be repairing a faucet, preparing an apartment for a new resident, or troubleshooting an appliance. The next, you may be tackling landscaping projects, preventative maintenance, property improvements, or resident service requests.

Responsibilities
  • Perform general maintenance and repairs, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, drywall, flooring, appliance, and lock repairs
  • Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the property, common areas, and amenities
  • Perform landscaping duties including mowing, trimming, edging, fertilizing, and pruning
  • Conduct daily property walks and address safety or appearance concerns
  • Assist with pool maintenance, inspections, and water testing
  • Support property inspections and safety initiatives
  • Accurately document completed work and maintenance activitiesAssist with general property improvement projects including pressure washing, painting, and grounds upkeep
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to after-hours emergencies as needed
What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has maintenance, porter, janitorial, landscaping, construction, or related experience
  • Has at least one year of maintenance experience in multifamily housing, commercial, property management, or a related field preferred
  • Has a working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, appliance repair, painting, and general building maintenance
  • Is comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and landscaping equipment safely and effectively.
  • Has pool experience or is willing to learn
  • Can work independently or in a team environment
  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to safety and customer service
  • Has a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance
  • Communicates professionally with residents and coworkers
