Job summary

cscexternalcareersite is seeking self-motivated, safety-conscious technicians to join our production team on the 3rd shift in Maryland. The role focuses on preventive and general maintenance with emphasis on electrical components to keep operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities include mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic work, basic welding, mechanical fabrication, electrical troubleshooting, reading blueprints, and following OSHA lockout/tagout procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Extensive knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Able to perform basic stick and wire feed welding.
• Basic electrical troubleshooting and knowledge of controls.
• Read blueprints and install/move machinery.
• Follows lockout/tagout procedures per OSHA and company policies.
• Makes safety a priority and works as part of a team or alone.

Responsibilities

Career Summary:

Ensure continued production operations by completing preventive maintenance, general maintenance, and emergency service, with a strong emphasis on electrical components. Ensures the site facility and equipment are all in proper working order while abiding by all specified rules and regulations.

Career Description:

• Must have extensive mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic experience.
• Able to perform basic stick and wire feed welding.
• Able to perform basic fabricating.
• Able to perform basic electrical troubleshooting and have a general knowledge of controls.
• Able to install and move machinery.
• Performs lockout / tag out procedures, according to OSH A standards and company policies.
• Ability to complete all duties and responsibilities as part of a team as well as alone.
• Works as a cooperative member of the team while performing duties and alone, as needed.
• Follows direction of leads, supervisors and managers.
• Able to follow good housekeeping practices.
• Able to learn and use Maintenance Management systems.
• Able to read blueprints.

Career Requirements:

• Must be able to learn the basic functions of all plant equipment.
• Must have basic knowledge of lockout tag out and proper PPE.

Physical Requirements:

• Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; handle objects, tools, controls and reach with hands and arms; climb and balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
• Regularly required lifting and/or moving up to 65 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Must have normal color vision.

Work Environment:

• Regularly works near moving mechanical parts; in high, precarious places and in outside weather conditions.
• Regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic chemicals, extreme cold, extreme heats and risk of electrical shock.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
