Job summary

Equity LifeStyle Properties in Arcadia, Florida is hiring for the Maintenance - Level I role. You’ll perform various maintenance duties including HVAC repairs, plumbing, carpentry, appliance repair and groundskeeping as part of the property’s maintenance team.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, 1–3 years of direct technical experience, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and a valid driver’s license with current auto insurance.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of direct technical work experience in applicable areas (HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, irrigation).
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work with heavy equipment.
• Valid driver’s license, good driving record and current auto insurance.
• Willingness to be on call for emergencies after hours.

Responsibilities

• Maintain grounds and common areas and keep them free from trash and debris.
• Report maintenance concerns to management and perform repairs.
• Mow, weed, edge, and maintain vacant lot grounds and common areas.
• Conduct irrigation system repairs.
• Move heavy objects and may drive maintenance trucks to various locations.
• Monitor and control maintenance inventory and supplies.
• Attend morning staff meetings and coordinate with management and staff on projects.
