Job summary

3M Indianapolis is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to help keep manufacturing equipment operating safely and efficiently. You will troubleshoot issues, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, and collaborate with production and maintenance teams to minimize downtime.

The role requires a two-year technical degree in a mechanical discipline and 3+ years of experience with high-speed automated equipment, electrical controls, pneumatics and hydraulics.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree in a mechanical discipline from an accredited institution.
• 3+ years of experience maintaining high-speed automated packaging or similar equipment.
• Experience diagnosing electrical power supplies, machine controls, pneumatics and hydraulics.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair and maintain a variety of industrial equipment and systems.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to reduce downtime.
• Read equipment manuals and schematics to guide repairs.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
