Job summary

Hawthorne Residential Partners is seeking an entry-level Maintenance Technician I to support daily community upkeep and learn the foundations of property maintenance. You’ll help keep grounds and amenities clean while learning the basics of maintenance and repair in a welcoming team environment.

This role is ideal for someone with a High School diploma who wants hands-on training, with light repair tasks, a valid driver’s license, and a collaborative, professional attitude.

Qualifications

• Education: High School or GED equivalent.
• Experience: Understanding and knowledge of yardwork and general facility maintenance. One year of maintenance, repair, or HVAC experience is preferred but not required.
• Licenses & Certifications: Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Ground Responsibilities: Clean and pick up debris; maintain breezeways, sidewalks, and trash receptacles; clean common areas and replace supplies.
• Repair & Preventative Maintenance: Restore vacant apartments, replace light bulbs, assist with lock changes and fixtures, minor painting, manage supplies.
• Additional Responsibilities: Distribute communications to residents, assist pool maintenance, maintain shop appearance, and uphold professional relations with residents and staff.
