Job summary

The City of Litchfield Park is seeking a part-time maintenance worker to perform journey level maintenance and operational tasks in assigned areas. Responsibilities include grounds upkeep, irrigation work, and basic facility maintenance to support city services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalency.
• Ability to read reference books, manuals, and related materials.
• Ability to perform general math calculations.
• Ability to clearly write and email communications.

Responsibilities

• Perform journey level maintenance and operational activities in assigned area.
• Mow/edge lawns, water, weed, prune trees and shrubs; maintain irrigation systems.
• Install, replace, and maintain fixtures and small structures; light repairs.
• Program irrigation systems and assist in design of maintenance/ops systems.
• Operate a variety of motorized vehicles and related equipment.
• Monitor inventory and maintain supplies; handle tools and equipment.
• Follow safety standards and city codes; interact with staff and the public.
