Job summary

Piercetownship is seeking a Maintenance Worker to perform road, building, park, and cemetery upkeep in the Cincinnati area. This full-time, hourly, non-exempt position offers standard benefits and reports to the Maintenance Worker Foreman.

The role requires physical labor and a commitment to safety and reliable attendance. Duties include operating light to heavy equipment, carpentry and basic repairs, sign installation, winter snow/ice removal, and routine vehicle maintenance.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. Advanced training or Associates Degree in construction technology, turf management, carpentry, road maintenance or similar field preferred.
Two (2) or more years’ experience in general construction.

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance of roads, buildings, parks, public grounds and cemetery (grass trimming, trash removal, ditches and culverts, dirt/gravel work, sign installation, carpentry, basic HVAC/plumbing/electrical repairs).
Operate light to heavy equipment and tools used in maintenance and repair of township properties.
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles and equipment.
Prepare graves and maintain cemetery grounds; locate sites and mark excavation areas.
Perform cleaning, painting, drywall, brick work and custodial duties on township buildings.
Set up safety zones, control traffic, and perform routine road sign inspections.
Snow/ice removal and assist mechanics when needed.
Inspect road cuts for permit compliance; communicate with contractors.
