Job summary

Mennel Milling Company is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the reliability and performance of plant equipment at our Fostoria, OH site. You will work across mechanical and electrical systems to keep production running smoothly and safely.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, welding, fabrication, and equipment testing while upholding GMP, OSHA, HACCP, and FSMA standards. This full-time role offers weekend work and holiday coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical degree or equivalent in electronics, mechatronics, mechanics, welding, automation or related field.
• Minimum 5 years maintenance experience in flour milling, food processing, or related manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience with welding, fabrication, and equipment testing is valued.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment to maximize plant reliability and production efficiency.
• Perform preventive maintenance, welding, fabrication, equipment installation, and testing to ensure safe operations.

What You'll Do

As a Maintenance Technician, you'll play a key role in maintaining and improving the reliability, safety, and performance of plant equipment, machinery, and processing systems while supporting food safety and operational excellence.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical and electrical equipment to maximize plant reliability and production efficiency.
• Performing preventive maintenance, welding, fabrication, equipment installation, and equipment testing to ensure safe and effective operations.
• Supporting food safety, GMP, OSHA, HACCP, and FSMA requirements while maintaining an audit-ready facility and clean work environment.

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent and a 2-year degree or educational equivalent in a technical or industrial field such as electronics, mechatronics, mechanics, welding, automation, or a related field.
• Preferred minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience in flour milling, food processing, or a related manufacturing environment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, welding and fabrication experience, valid driver's license, computer proficiency, and the ability to operate lifts, hoists, and overhead cranes.
