FedEx is seeking a Maintenance Technician Specialist to provide advanced maintenance across material handling systems. You will lead diagnostics, plan small projects, and mentor junior technicians, ensuring safety adherence and cross-functional collaboration with vendors and corporate teams.

The role requires extensive experience in mechanical, electrical, PLC controls, and welding, with a focus on training and development of site staff. Flexibility to work different shifts is expected.

Qualificações

• Six (6) years of experience in FedEx Industrial Maintenance or similar material handling systems.
• Ability to read, interpret and create electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical power transmission, electrical and PLC/controls.
• Advanced welding/fabrication skills.
• Experience with Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) software.
• Ability to mentor lower-level technicians.
• Strong safety awareness and compliance.
• Excellent communication and teamwork with vendors and support teams.

Responsabilidades

• Under minimal supervision, provides preventive and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of material handling systems.
• Adheres to all applicable safety standards and promotes a safe work environment.
• Follow and create procedures for maintenance of site-specific equipment.
• Interpret data from various sources to determine department needs.
• Diagnose and repair the most complex problems with any system in the facility.
• Interpret electrical or mechanical schematics and manuals to troubleshoot faults.
• Respond to sort calls to diagnose problems and make repairs.
• Utilize EAM software to enter and retrieve data.
• Diagnose skill gaps of lower level technicians and develop training programs.
• Mentor lower-level technicians.
• Develop scopes of work and project plans for small scale local projects.
