Job summary

Veolia North America, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure safe, reliable operation of a large reciprocating engine‑generator power facility. You will perform preventive, predictive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on engine‑generator packages and allied systems, collaborating with Operations and maintenance teams.

Ideal candidates have strong mechanical aptitude, experience with industrial maintenance, and the ability to read OEM manuals, follow procedures, and document work

Qualifications

• High school or GED with ability to read, write and comprehend English.
• Technical training, trade education, apprenticeship or equivalent maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience with power, pneumatic, hydraulic, and hand tools preferred.
• Two+ years of mechanical maintenance experience in heavy industrial environments preferred.
• Experience maintaining reciprocating engines, generators, compressors and pumps preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on engine‑generator units and balance‑of‑plant equipment.
• Inspect, repair, rebuild, and maintain mechanical equipment including engines, pumps, valves, and piping systems.
• Troubleshoot abnormal equipment conditions and support outages.
• Document maintenance work in CMMS with parts used, labor, and findings.
• Plan and estimate labor, parts, tools, and materials for maintenance tasks.
