Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician I for our Joliet Distribution Center.

You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair conveyors, building systems, machinery and electrical controls to keep equipment running safely and efficiently. The role requires 2+ years in electronic technology maintenance or 3 years in industrial maintenance with PLCs, servo and VFD drives, and 480V three-phase electrical work.

Qualifications

• Coursework or certification in electronic technology and 2 years industrial maintenance experience.
• OR 3 years industrial maintenance experience in electronic technology (including troubleshooting and repairing automated equipment).
• PLC/PC programming knowledge and troubleshooting experience.
• Hands-on industrial electrical experience, including 480V 3-phase, 110 VAC, and 24 VDC systems.
• Advanced troubleshooting skills with PCs and industrial control devices/networking.
• Ability to communicate technical issues clearly to business leadership.
• Willingness to work shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and emergency repairs on equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical/electronic problems with PLCs, servo and VFD drives.
• Diagnose problems using drawings, schematics, and diagnostic tools.
• Assist others in repair and maintenance of equipment.
• Initiate and implement new procedures or designs to maintain equipment efficiency.
• Maintain organized work area and promote a safe environment within the Maintenance department.
